A taste of the Mediterranean comes to McArthur Glen Designer Outlet in Cannock, Staffordshire.

MELI Cafe & Patisserie is coming to McArthur Glen designer outlet in Cannock this spring! With a strong Mediterranean theme, the 80-person capacity restaurant will offer a selection of exquisite cakes, pastries and savoury dishes.

Customers will be able to indulge in a selection of freshly baked cakes, pastries, artisan chocolates and more, making it a haven for those with a sweet tooth. One of the store’s main offerings will be a delightful afternoon tea experience, which can be enjoyed with a glass of Prosecco, along with a wide variety of speciality teas and coffees.

Other dishes on the menu include gourmet sandwiches, popular salad bowls bursting with Mediterranean flavours, such as falafel and hummus, making them a perfect, healthy and light lunch.

Meli will also offer a range of show-stopping special occasion cakes, including wedding and birthday cakes, which will be freshly made-to-order on site. There’s also a treat for chocolate lovers, with the finest artisan chocolates which will be available to buy at the gourmet chocolate counter.

Additionally, the store will be introducing an ambient deli counter, providing a wide range of imported goods such as honey, olives, olive oil, herbs, spices, and hard-to-find Greek sweets. Customers will be able to sample authentic Mediterranean favourites, as well as modern twists on classic delicacies, such as the mouthwatering homemade baklava cheesecake.

Meli, which means “honey” in Greek, is owned and operated by Paul Polyviou and Chris Butcher, who have brought their Mediterranean roots to the designer outlet. The partners already run and operate Kouzina, a Greek street food restaurant, at the premises after moving in during 2023.

“We’re excited to announce Meli’s flagship store at McArthur Glen. Following the success of Kouzina, we’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership with them”.

“We love being part of this community and can’t wait bring a Mediterranean flavour with the finest cakes, pastries and hard to find products to the outlet”

“Both Chris and I are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our partners for making it happen” said Paul Polyviou, co-owner of Meli.

Meli Cafe & Patisserie will officially open its doors at McArthur Glen on 20th April 2024 and will offer both a dine-in and take-away service.
